International Office

Globalisation and internationalisation are deeply embedded in the fabric of Dutch society. As a faculty dedicated to governance, diplomacy, international relations, global security and public administration, the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs (FGGA) is inherently international in both its outlook and activities.

A Global Faculty in The Hague

Located in The Hague — the international city of peace and justice — FGGA is uniquely positioned to foster strong ties with global institutions and international universities. We actively participate in collaborative programmes and student/staff exchanges, and we welcome international students and scholars through a growing network of academic partnerships.

FGGA has established over 60 international cooperation agreements across various disciplines. These partnerships enable our students and staff to benefit from global exchange opportunities, and they likewise allow us to host visiting academics and students in The Hague.

Strategic Networks and Global Collaboration

The faculty is a member of several leading international academic networks, including UNA Europa and LERU. In addition, our institutes maintain active research collaborations with partners in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. These networks facilitate the exchange of knowledge, expertise, innovative ideas and best practices.

Our academic staff are involved in joint research projects, guest teaching appointments, and international advisory roles, further strengthening FGGA’s global engagement and impact.
