Update

Starting October 8, the FGGA Ethics Committee will be working with a new tool. This tool, developed in collaboration with FSW and FGW, is intended to streamline the process for obtaining ethical approval. On the level of, the review of the application remains unchanged.

The tool is called DEP Tool (Data, Ethics, Privacy) and brings all communication between the committee and the researcher together in a simple online environment. This makes comments and revisions easier to manage.

The tool will be available from October 8. From then on, you will only be able to submit your proposals to the committee via this tool. Researchers can log in to the portal with their ULCN account to the research support.

Quick Start Guides are available for researchers here.

Good to know:
-Applications submitted before October 8 that are still being processed will be completed outside of the tool.

-Starting October 8, submissions sent to the ethics committee's email address will receive an automatic reply asking the researcher to submit the application via the online portal.

In case you started an application that you did not finish: your data are saved. Please send an e-mail to ethicscommittee@fgga.leidenuniv.nl, for support in finishing this aplication
