Organisation research

There are eight research programmes in which the research conducted by scientists from the various institutes and departments is organised. In addition, the faculty has four overarching, faculty-wide research focus areas (currently under development):

National Sector Plans

Over the last few years (2018-25), researchers from Leiden Law School conducted research in two themes within the National Law Sector Plan: Empirical Legal Studies (ELS) and Institutions for Conflict Resolution (COI). 

Since 2024, scientists take part in the cross-cutting theme within the Sector Plan Social Sciences and Humanities. More information.
