Rector's Office

The Rector’s Office is part of Strategic Communication and Marketing directorate and is responsible for:

• Academic ceremonies, such as the Dies Natalis ceremony and the Opening of the Academic Year
• Contact with the Royal Family, the Diplomatic Corps and VIPs (Dutch and international)
• Procedure for submitting nominations for granting and presenting Royal honours and University medals to members of the University staff
• Preparation for establishing (special) chairs and appointing professors
