Data Science team

The Data Science Team at CWTS develops and maintains the data infrastructure that underpins the centre’s research projects and services. The team manages large-scale data integration from a broad range of sources, including Altmetric, Crossref, DataCite, Dimensions, OpenAlex, PATSTAT, PubMed, ORCID, Overton, ROR, Scopus, and Web of Science. Beyond data pipelines, the team develops and implements procedures to calculate research analytics, builds cloud-based systems, and creates APIs, web applications, and dashboards that make these analytics accessible and actionable. With expertise in scientometrics, data engineering, and full-stack development, the team enables high-quality, data-driven research and applications, supporting CWTS in tackling complex, data-intensive challenges.
