Management Team
The Management Team (MT) is responsible for all matters concerning the Institute for Philosophy. The MT consists of three people.
Academic Director
The Academic Director (WD) has the overarching responsibility for the Institute’s management, the academic quality, and the quality of the doctoral programmes, and research. The Academic Director is directly answerable to the Faculty Board and also represents the Institute, both within and outside the Faculty of Humanities, and promotes internal and external cooperation.
The Academic Director of the Institute for Philosophy is Douglas Berger.
Director of Education
The Director of Research is responsible for the coordination of the PhD programmes (Graduate School) and research funding.
The Director of Research of the Institute for Philosophy is Wouter Kalf.
Institute Manager
The Institute Manager (IM) oversees operational affairs of the Institute, such as finances, personnel and the internal organisation of the institute.
The Institute Manager of the Institute for Philosophy is Carolyn de Greef.
The Management Team convenes every other week to discuss and decide on issues concerning the institute’s academic, personnel and financial management. If you have institute related issues or questions that requires the attention of the MT, please send an email to the Institute Manager.
