Management Team

The Management Team (MT) is responsible for all matters concerning the Centre for the Arts in Society. The MT consists of the people.

Academic Director

The Academic Director (WD) has the overarching responsibility for the Institute’s management, the academic quality, and the quality of the doctoral programmes, and research. The Academic Director is directly answerable to the Faculty Board and also represents the Institute, both within and outside the Faculty of Humanities, and promotes internal and external cooperation.

The Academic Director of LUCAS is Sybille Lammes.

Director of Education

The Director of Research is responsible for the coordination of the PhD programmes (Graduate School) and research funding.

The Director of Research of LUCAS is Ylva Klaassen.

General Board Member

The General Board Member oversees research-related projects: coordinating the Graduate Programme, providing research support to early-career researchers, managing the Institute’s strategic branding, and supporting its members in the field of societal impact.

The General Board Member of LUCAS is Casper de Jonge.

Institute Manager

The Institute Manager (IM) oversees operational affairs of the Institute, such as finances, personnel and the internal organisation of the institute.

The Institute Manager of LUCAS is Ylva Klaassen.

The Management Team convenes weekly to discuss and decide on issues concerning the institute’s academic, personnel and financial management.
