Advisory Council
The Advisory Council consists of representatives of staff members, contract PhD candidates and external PhD candidates affiliated with the Centre for the Arts in Society.
The Advisory Council consists of eleven representatives. The members of the Advisory Council are appointed by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities from the staff members of the Institute, on the recommendation of the Academic Director. In this context, the Dean will ascertain that the Advisory Board has a balanced and representative composition. The members of the Advisory Council are appointed for two years, after which re-appointment is permitted.
To the best of its ability, the Advisory Council will promote openness, accessibility, and mutual consultation within the Institute. Within the Institute, the Advisory Council will guard against discrimination and will promote equal treatment and participation of staff members.
The Advisory Council meets at least once per term and offers solicited and unsolicited advice to the Management Team. The Academic Director regularly meets with the Advisory Council to confer on institute-related matters. The Advisory Council is in any case given the opportunity to advise the Academic Director concerning the Institute’s financial policy, personnel policy in the broadest sense, any planned reorganisation of the Institute, and structural cooperation with partners from outside the Institute.
