Energy and Sustainability

Leiden University is going green! It has committed to the national and European agreements of the climate accord. To achieve this, a roadmap for energy transition and a sustainable development agenda have been established. The Energy & Sustainability team is working hard to implement and monitor this program to meet the goals. It is not just about green energy; attention is also given to circular building, climate adaptation, biodiversity, and their impact on investment costs. Collaboration with the university's faculties and services, colleagues in real estate, is essential to achieve the necessary change. And last but not least, communication about these topics plays a significant role in effecting change.
